One Lawyer One Month

One Lawyer One Month is a monthly program conducted in collaboration with the Law Students’ Society of Islamic Science University of Malaysia. The objectives of this program include:

- To provide awareness related to law career.

- To expose students to law firms.

- To provide consistent motivation to law students.

- To open internship opportunities for law students.

The first session of this program was given by Mr. Nizam Bashir bin Abdul Kariem Bashir, a well-known solicitor from Nizam Bashir & Associates Kuala Lumpur. The topic discussed is “What can you do with a law degree?”

A look through:

Throughout the session, Mr. Nizam shared about his personal experience after embarking into the law field. He mentioned his difficulties to familiarise himself with local cases after returning from Australia. He also pointed out a remarkable view towards the question. He believed rephrasing the question with the question “What can’t you do with a law degree?” will motivate any law students who are still doubtful of themselves.

One of the most memorable feedbacks received is certainly this. A participant shared that joining the program has allowed her to get the answer for her confusion and she conveyed that the program was full of fun, hopes and wonders.
