Execution Without Trial of Palestinians

INTRODUCTION:

In every society, the rule of law is supposed to be the last line of defense against tyranny. But when the state itself takes on the role of executioner, justice breaks down and humanity slips into darkness. Executions or extrajudicial killings that arise without due process, trial, or defense are some of the most grave human rights violations. Courts are bypassed, voices are silenced, and justice is denied before it is even sought. By transforming police and soldiers into judges, juries, and executioners, they weaken the principles of morality and law.

In the occupied Palestinian territories, extrajudicial killings have become disturbingly routine. Eyewitness testimony and human rights organizations document harrowing scenes in real life and captured on video, revealing an alarming pattern of using lethal force where none was required, and denying justice when it was necessary.
